VW. T5. 2004. 2.5 lt 6 gears. Self-build, Camper van. Half completed project , just not had the time, and we do not use it as much as we used to so it’s a waist running only 5 miles a day to work, but its ready to go for weekends away as is. To be clear this is no wedding van has many age related marks bumps and scratches all of which I will point out to potential buyers, The 2.5 lt engine with its 6 gears ,drives like a dream and has had a lot of money spent on it over the years tons of service history and receipts. New Turbo just before Christmas, new shaft links last year new gear selector also last year. Battery is about 18 month old, and just had full service Feb 16. The tow bar has never been used by me but previous owner did cos its clear he missed a few times n bashed the doors but this does not affect closure. Rear parking sensors. Central locking radio/CD player two keys now that’s unusual, lol, 200230 miles now that’s scary not it’s a VW and if looked after as this has been, with yearly services and best quality oils will just keep going . Test drive welcome with me as passenger or cash in hand Rear Interior. New 20ml ply floor with non-slip lino, four blue led lights in floor, four white led lights in roof. Electric mains hook up with lead, and trip switch breaker. Zig unit with leisure battery allowing for engine charge to leisure battery and control of either mains or 12v supply two 13amp sockets 1 12v socket. Floor, walls and rear n side doors have insulation and silver fireproof heat reflecting sheets. This helps maintain heat loss and eliminates condensation. Cupboards and removable two burner cooker, with gas cylinder, assortment of plate’s bowls and cutlery, electric kettle. Two foam mattresses. Ladder to high rise bed, shelf area over cab,, Curtains to rear, side and across cab for total privacy. Professionally fitted High rise front pop up roof with carpeted double bed area ( two kids comfortably or one adult ) This would cost around £3500+ to fit (check Greatbritainlisted) when raised tent section has window and air ventilation. Dark tinted side glass fitted to both sliding doors with slide opening That’s another £350+ I will also throw in a large quantity of internal carpet and contact spray did not get round to using. So what’s left to do well that depends on personal choice I was going to add a rock n roll bed finish carpeting exposed wood and may be the pillars ooh and buy an awning to sit alongside, that said the van is ready to use and could be added to in time or completely changed. The van is covered in vinyl sticker’s, butterflies, cats eyes and flowers cos we wanted to be different I guess these could be removed , I guarantee that not one of these was put on to cover any rust, just for fun. But two stickers have a small amount of rust under them, where I removed the rear wipers as they were broke when I brought the van I treated and filled the holes but clearly not well enough. Well how honest is that? Loved owning and driving this, it’s just not getting full use any more.
